I started a blog in 2018. I called it Lost in Thought, and for about a year I wrote about whatever was rattling around my head: Star Trek, fatherhood, the meaning of life, why I can't stop thinking. Then life got busy, and the blog went quiet.

This is me picking it back up.

A lot has changed. I'm freelance now, working across art, design and tech. I'm writing a book, Spark 2299. I make comedy skits. I paint when it still excites me. What hasn't changed is the habit: I think too much, and writing is where I put it.

What you'll find here

The old posts, tidied up and back online, each with a note saying when it was first written. Some I've finished eight years late. Some I've left exactly as they were, because past me deserves a say.

New pieces too: essays, the odd poem, very short stories, and the occasional confession about being bad at something new.

The deal

No newsletter, no algorithm. There's an RSS feed if you'd like new posts to find you. Otherwise, wander in whenever.

Welcome back to being lost in thought. Pull up a chair.
