Leadership is the ability to guide and influence others towards a common goal or objective. It involves taking charge, making decisions, and inspiring and motivating others to follow your lead. Leadership can take many forms and can be found in various settings, such as in the workplace, community organisations, or even within a group of friends.
Casually speaking, a leader is someone who knows how to steer the ship and make things happen. They have a vision and can effectively communicate that vision to others, rallying them around a shared purpose. A good leader knows how to listen to others and value their input, but also has the confidence to make tough decisions when necessary.
Leadership is not just about giving orders and expecting others to follow blindly. It’s about building relationships, earning trust, and creating a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. A leader sets an example through their actions and behaviours, and they inspire others to bring out their best potential.
